| Having problems logging into the www.spanko.net Spanko Chat rooms?
Here are a few solutions and suggestions of how to login.
#1 Nick Name Errors
First off, whats your Spanko Name? Does it have any spaces or anything other than letters, numbers or _ underscores?
^ [ ] {} also have been known to work.
If you have any other symbols or spaces, most likely this is why you cannot log into the chat room and get a nick name error.
To remedy this, please change your Spanko Name to something with no spaces and only letters, numbers and _ underscores if needed.
#2 Password Errors
If your password is wrong it will take you back to the room listings page and it will continue to go in circles until you use the correct
password for your account. Please remember if your password has caps that you must use them when logging in. Passwords ARE case sensitive.
#3 Black Screen or Java Error
If the screen is just black, the first thing to do is WAIT! your internet connection or pc might be a bit slow today and needs up to 2 minutes
to load the applet, usually this takes around 1 min. After that you should make sure you are using internet explorer (not through AOL, aol browser
does not always work) and have the latest java updated on your computer.
MAC users should do a software update to get the newest version of java.
#4 AOL USERS / MAC USERS
Both AOL and MAC users are known to have login issues, while i think i've fixed the MAC problem (mac users please reply if you cannot login)
the AOL problem is with their browser and does not seem to be something i can cure on my own. You can use our chat with AOL but you must login
to AOL (if its your internet connection, if not you dont need to load AOL), and then minimize and go to your start menu and open Internet Explorer
and use that browser to view our site. Just type in http://www.spanko.net in the address bar at the top of the page and click enter!
#5 mIRC / IRC
To connect through an irc client the server is spanko.net, port 6667 and main room #newbies
#6 How Do I Login?
to enter that room, just click the title #Newbies and it will take you to the login page where you need to enter your Spanko Name
and password, then chose a chat room in the drop down box and then click login.

If you still cannot login please reply to this post with the exact problem you are experiencing, the operating system you are using (win xp, win 7 etc),
the type of internet connection you have, and the browser you are using (internet explorer 8, mozilla, safari)
